Chakras
Chakras are force center's on the body that span out on the body in a fan shape, and are said to be doubled on the soul. There are seven main Chakra points on the body These energy center's are considered the main points for passing energy.
The seven main Chakra points these are:
- The crown of the head known as Sahasrara, symbolized by a lotus with 1000 petals and represented by the colour Violet, which is considered the main focal point for Consciousness.
- The Brow of the eye-line, known also as the third eye or Ajna Chakrawhich is linked to calmness and envisioning, represented by the colours, indigo, white or deep blue and is symbolised by a lotus with two petal.
- The Throat Chakra or Vishudda which is linked to growth of communication and expression, corresponding to the colours of light or pale blue and turquoise and symbolized by a lotus of sixteen petals.
- The Heart Chakra, or Padma sundra, located in the chest it is responsible for keeping away stress and maturing as well as complex emotions, it is represented by the colours green or pink and its allegory is a twelve petal lotus.
- The Manipurs Chakra or the solar plexes it is said to govern feelings such as, introvision (inward thinking), fear and anxiety, the colour that corresponds with Manipurs is yellow and it is composed of a ten petal lotus.
- Svadhisthana or the Sacral Chakra this is located in the pelvis, and governs, violence, addictions relationships and physical pleasure and enthusiasm. it is drawn as a six petal lotus, and its colour is orange.
- The Final main Chakra is Muladhara or the root Chakra it covers basic human potential and is related to Security and survival as well as instinct as well as lust and obsession, in the body it is partnered with the gonads and the adrenal Medulla, the root Chakra its figuration is a four petal lotus and the colour red.
In New age western practices, colored stones have been used in association with Chakras, the colour of the stone relating to the colour of the Chakra.
Chakras are used in many religions including Bon, the oldest spiritual religion in Tibet, tantric Buddhism and Hinduism, where the word Chakra originates from.
