Drums have been used for heling since as far back as the Stoneage and has been a sacred and reviered part of indigenous tribes culture for thousands of years. Drumming, even for a short amount of time has been proved to put the mind into an Alpha state, the optimal level for a persons mind and body, which is associated with a state of Euphoria and well being, it also has beninficial effects on people with Dementia and Alzheimer's as well as a relif from stress, temporary relif from pain and muscle cramp and greater clarity of thought as well as promoting team work and interaction.

Drum Therapy involes the particpanting in a group, or alone chanting and drumming, and is a Holistic (treating mind & body) activity achived by responding to inner prompts and external stimulus in order to find a Rhythm that satifies the participant.
