Shaun, AKA cypher, first got in to the dance music scene in 1998, mainly listening to djs and various dance radio stations around the uk. Cypher then moved into producing his own tracks using early computer softwear and slowly developing his many different sounds gaining knowledge on tune stucture ,driving rhythms and figuring out what made that perfect track.
From there venturing out clubbing at the weekends, meeting new faces/contacts, delving into the underground dance scene as we know it and finally got the bug to dj buying his first set of decks, teaching himself, learning the art of mixing, getting that first break to show what he could do.
His appreciation of music is wide ranging from steve lawler, Asem Shama, Mauro Pictto, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk all the way to Technoboy and Showtek.
Cypher started djing in 2003 for small events around the city of Norwich then leading to bigger events during the coming years. Gradually broadening his dj skills and tune selection to suit the needs of todays dance scene.
Cypher's style of Djing is very different to most, by not only concentrating on one style, he has the ability to vary his sets depending if it is a warm up set or closing set.
2008 has been a busy year for cypher with increased bookings for promotions and events and club work and 2009 looks to be very promising indeed not only locally based but a full assault on the wider UK dance scene. Dj cypher styles include tech house, trance, psy-trance, Hard dance, Hardstyle and Techno.
